With Cisco’s move to its unified communications architecture, one must be able to address Cisco® Unified Communications Manager deployment with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and presence. Integration with Cisco Unified Communications products and third-party solutions requires additional competencies. With Cisco Unified Presence Design and Implementation (PRSDI) v6.1 as a basis, additional content on advanced topics such as mobility (single number reach) and SIP, PRSDI Plus Mobility will prepare you for installing and configuring a Cisco Unified Presence Release 6.1 solution.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Accommodate adoption and integration of features, capabilities, and enhancements introduced with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.x when migrating from Cisco Communications Manager 4
- Configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6 to use Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for Windows Active Directory integration
- Configure SIP endpoints in the enterprise
- Configure SIP trunks in the enterprise
- Configure SIP endpoints in a Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) environment
- Configure the Cisco Unified Presence 6.1 component of a presence-enabled telephony solution with a Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1
- Understand the features and integration requirements needed to implement a presence-enabled telephony solution with a Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1 using Cisco Unified Presence 6.1 and Cisco Unified Personal Communicator 1.2
- Migrate from locations-based Call Admissions Control (CAC to network-based CAC using Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP)
- Integrate a presence-enabled Cisco Unified Communications deployment with a Microsoft
OCS and Microsoft Office Communicator (MOC deployment)
- Configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager for mobility (single number reach)
- Configure federated presence connections

This course is for technical professionals or experienced IP telephony engineers who need fast-
paced, hands-on experience with Unified Communications Manager 6 features and an in-depth
treatment of Cisco Unified Presence and Microsoft Office Communication Server OCS integration.
Prerequisites:
Following are the prerequisites for this course.
- Ability to implement and operate multisite Cisco Unified Communications Manager
deployments using Cisco Communications Manager 3.3 or later
- Voice-related protocol knowledge, including Skinny Call Control Protocol (SCCP, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), H.323, and SIP
- Sufficeint knowledge/experience with Cisco quality of service to understand queing mechanisms and how priority queues are built
