Cisco® ONS 15454 Multiservice Transport Platform Release 8.0 Basic (MSTP ONS Basic)
Length: 4-day Workshop
In this intense four-day course you learn the skills necessary to deploy a multiservice transport platform (MSTP) network, including fiber-cleaning techniques, fiber test requirements, and node turn-up. You will learn to deploy different dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) topologies using Cisco® Transport Planner to provision the Cisco® ONS 15454 Multiservice Transport Platform (MSTP). The MSTP Basic course is designed to give you significant classroom hands-on time to validate the lessons learned in lecture using the comprehensive classroom hardware and labs.
You will learn to:
- Connect and configure a Cisco® ONS 15454 MSTP chassis
- Identify node configurations according to card population
- Characterize the role of Cisco® Transport Planner in turning up an MSTP network
- Provision DWDM circuits using Cisco® Transport Controller
- Perform performance monitoring, alarm verification, and fault isolation
- Isolate "optical" network issues
