Cisco® ONS 15454 Test and Turn Up (MSPP)
Length: 4-day Workshop
In Cisco® ONS 15454 Test and Turn Up, you will acquire the primary knowledge and skills required to optimally deploy a Cisco® ONS 15454 SONET Multiservice Provisioning Platform (MSPP) optical switch in a complex enterprise network. Hands-on labs allow you to practice the techniques taught in class in a real-world environment. You will learn to interconnect Cisco® ONS 15454s, configure systems for SONET topologies, provision card protection, build circuits, and deploy Ethernet solutions. Multiple hardware devices, software products, and analyzers allow you to explore the best practices of designing and deploying the Cisco® ONS 15454 optical switches as well as troubleshooting a typical installation.
You will learn to:
- Configure a Cisco® ONS 15454 optical switch
- Provision a SONET network
- Manage an optical system using the Cisco® Transport Controller
- Provision Ethernet cards
- Deploy a unidirectional path-switched ring (UPSR)
- Provision and test DS1 and DS3 circuits
- Provision ML-Series cards
- Maintain a Cisco® ONS 15454 optical switch
- Characterize a SONET network
- Describe the fundamental architecture and components of the Cisco® ONS 15454 optical switches
- Determine the best topology for given network situations, including UPSR compared to bidirectional line-switched ring (BLSR)
- Configure crossconnect (XC) on a Cisco® ONS 15454
- Deploy a BLSR
