Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials (IUWNE)

Learn to design, install, configure, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting of a Cisco® WLAN in small and medium-sized business and enterprise installations. Reinforce what you learn with instructor-assisted, hands-on labs that include creating an ad-hoc connection and analyzing the communication, configuring a controller and access point (AP), converting an autonomous AP to controller-based mode, installing and configuring a mobility express wireless controller and AP, configuring EAP-FAST authentication with WPA, configuring the controller and the AP from the WCS interface, working with the map editor tool, and backing up the controller configuration and WCS database. You'll also address troubleshooting issues introduced by the instructor.
You will learn to:
- How wireless networks function and the theory of RF waves
- The Cisco® Unified Wireless Network architecture
- Basic installation of a Wireless LAN Controller
- Install and configure wireless client software
- Implement a basic wireless security
- Perform basic WCS administration
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in a wireless environment
