Catalyst® 6500 Operations and Maintenance - Layer 3 (6500-IOSSupe720)

This course is custom-designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the Cisco 6500 Switch with Supervisor 720 Architecture and Operations for Layer 3 switching.
The course is designed to take students through a thorough understanding of VLAN fundamentals and 6500 Architecture. Students will learn of Cisco IOS switch commands and be able to demonstrate their knowledge through labs that utilize Cisco Systems IOS switches.
Students will learn how to support the 6500 Hardware and Software components. In addition, Wireless Maintenance and Operation commands will be utilized to install, configure and troubleshoot lab equipment.
Students will learn how to navigate, manage and operate the command line interface (CLI) of Cisco Routers and Switches through the use of Cisco IOS 12.X operating system.
Students will use a combination of Cisco 3550 and 6500 switches in the classroom connected to remote labs via the Internet.
