An Introduction to iLife '08 (iLife 101)

Length: 2-day Workshop

This two-day, hands-on course introduces students to the features and interface of iLife
‘08. iLife ’08 is a suite of digital authoring tools that comes with every Mac: iPhoto, iMovie,
GarageBand, iDVD, and iWeb. You will learn to create media-rich digital projects, and share
them online with a few clicks. You will also learn to easily create stunning music, websites,
and photo books, and enjoy your photos and videos in exciting new ways.

Recommended for:

This class is designed for anyone who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best
explore the functionality of the iLife ’08 applications. Please note that unlike the iLife 201
course, this course does not cover many of the chapters in the book. For example, working
with iDVD and creating music with Magic GarageBand are not covered. However, students
are free to continue the lessons on their own as all the files needed to complete the exer-
cises are included on the DVD that accompanies the book. This course does cover all les-
sons required to prepare for the Apple Certified Associate, iLife ’08 exam.

Prerequisites:

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending this course:

• Basic knowledge of the Macintosh OS
