Audium Installation, Admininstration, and Advanced Progamming Boot Camp (AUD-IAP)
Length: 4-day Workshop
This four-day, instructor-led training course is broken into three modules: Administration; Studio Graphical Development; and Extending the Studio Graphical Tool. Each module is a prerequisite for the next.
Administration
This module begins with in-depth discussion of the components in an IVR self-service environment with a focus on the role of the Audium tools and the application server. Each attendee then installs and tests their installation and learns to use, administer and maintain the system.
Boot Camp
The Audium Studio graphical development tool is taught in a hands-on approach by building an application together in stages that introduce all Studio's features and capabilities.
Advanced Programming
This module teaches the student to extend the graphical development tool to allow integration with the customer's infrastructure and business rules. Students learn to create and add their own action and decisions elements to the standard Audium SDK. Attendees create configurable action elements (example, math or substring operators), configurable decision elements, customized say-it-smart code to format spoken audio (example, speak-as ordinal), actions that execute at the start and end of the call, and an overview of voice elements.
This module is taught in a hands-on approach by building a Java project to create code that is then invoked and tested in the student's self-service application.
Students write, deploy and fully test their application. In doing so, students learn in depth troubleshooting. The module includes a discussion of extending the graphical tool using languages other than Java. While Java is not a prerequisite for this module, knowledge of an object-oriented programming language is very helpful. Programming experience is a must.
