Cisco® 10000 Network Operations, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting (ALLAGG)

This course is a follow-on to the LLAGG course. It is designed to provide the students with the knowledge and skill to be able to Install, Configure and Troubleshoot IP Routing (OSPF-BGP), and Protocol anomalies. In addition students will use of CLI commands to isolate and identify system problems. Use of the Cisco®, "Show", "Ping", "Trace", "Debug", and other commands will be highlighted.
This course focuses on the use of the Cisco® 10000 in an IP routed environment including VLANs, HSRP, MR-APS, SSO, OSPF, and BGP. The course will provide detailed knowledge on the operation and troubleshooting techniques associated with routers in a OSPF and BGP environment.
Students will review IP routing fundamentals including subnets, VLSM, ARP, ICMP, Ports, Route Tables, Route Metrics, Protocol Distances, etc.
The course will also provide an introductory exposure to Cisco® Access List creation, operation and maintenance.
The class will culminate with a "trouble-ticket" exercise simulating "real-life" issues on the Cisco® 10000. Students will have to diagnosis and repair instructor created problems.
This is the ideal Capstone course for technical personnel maintaining and operating a Cisco® 10000 in a EVDO environment.
You will learn to:
- Identify the operation and function of OSPF and BGP protocol
- Configure IOS® 12.0 navigation and command line interface, including priviledged and configuration commands
- Configure IOS® 12.0 for OSPF and BGP operation
- Configure IOS® 12.0 for HSRP operation
- Configure IOS® 12.0 for SSO operation
- Configure IOS® 12.0 for the use of Access Lists
- Troubleshoot and Maintain an OSPF network using Cisco diagnostic commands
- Troubleshoot and Maintain a BGP network using Cisco diagnostic commands
- Troubleshoot and Maintain a OSPF and BGP network using Cisco diagnostic commands
- Understand how to interpret route tables, metrics, distances, etc.
- Techniques for identifying system anomalies using Cisco diagnostic commands
- Identify proper configuration for SSO operation
- Use PXF and Cisco IOS® commands to track and monitor system IP routed traffic
- Describe and verify the operation of PRE redundancy on the Cisco® 10000 series router
- Configure and verify the operation of hierarchical and regular QoS policies on the Cisco® 10000 series router
