TECH 2000 EXTENDS ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH CISCO® WITH DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTIVES COURSEWARE FOR THE NEW CCIP® CERTIFICATION

Herndon, VA, June 4, 2001 - Tech 2000, Inc., a leading provider of communications network technologies training and an authorized Cisco Learning Solutions Partner, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Cisco Systems, Inc.®, (NASDAQ: CSCO) the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to develop training courseware for the new Cisco® professional level certification for service providers. The contract award for CCIP® (Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional) courseware continues Tech 2000's established relationship as a developer of training solutions for leading-edge network technologies for Cisco®. Tech 2000's previous work for Cisco® includes DSL 6160/6400, DSL 6260/6400, DSL UAC Tunneling L2TP MPLS, MSAP (IAD) and SSG/SSD training. Tech 2000 is also one of the leading providers of authorized Cisco BGP, MPLS and MPLS VPN training.

Developing courseware for CCIP® certification is an ideal utilization of Tech 2000's combined expertise in course design and IP networking technologies. Tech 2000 will develop training courseware using an advanced RLO/RIO format for four of the nine exams in the technology solution electives for the CCIP certification - IP Telephony, Optical, DSL and Content Delivery Networking (CDN). Tech 2000 will also develop the E-Learning versions of these courses. The RLO/RIO format will allow Tech 2000 to smoothly and efficiently develop both instructor-led and E-Learning training simultaneously.

"Cisco is committed to offering service provider customers the technical knowledge they need for IP migration," said Tom Kelly, vice president, Internet Learning Solutions Group, Cisco Systems. "With Tech 2000s depth of understanding of IP network technologies and their history of successes developing courseware for Cisco, they are an ideal partner for developing the courseware for the new Cisco Communications and Services Certification, CCIP®."

"In spite of the downturn in the telecommunications sector, infrastructure migration toward IP will continue," said George Churchwell, president and chief technical officer, Tech 2000. "Service providers will find that technical training and certification in New World communications are the skills that will enable them to be competitive in their industry.
